FAN IN THE BOX, AS IN, THE PRESS BOX

My name is Joe Rini and after a lifetime of being a New York sports fan, in 2012 I started covering the New York Mets as a member of the press for the Rockland County Times. In the years since then, I’ve tried to bring other fans along with me on this journey, whether by asking the manager questions you’d want answered, chatting with players about how they prepare to compete and handle success or failure, or catching up with some former New York sports heroes. Its been a privilege covering the Mets and New York sports, and I hope to add to that privilege with “Fan in the Box.”
